Lee Jacobs Pfeffer, 86, of Indianapolis and formerly of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away on June 28, 2018. She was born on October 18, 1931 in Staten Island, New York to Russell and Pearl Johnson.

Lee married Frank Jacobs in 1952. They were married for 44 years, until Frank passed in 2008. They had 2 sons, Frank and William.

Lee rekindled a friendship with Karl Pfeffer, which led to their marriage in 2010 and her move to Indianapolis.

Lee was very active in her son, Frank’s church, Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Englishtown, New Jersey. She served as a greeter and in hospitality. After moving to Indianapolis, Lee and Karl joined Life Church in Fishers, where they participated in many events.

Lee and Karl loved traveling back to New Jersey to see family and friends. As well as taking trips to other destinations, such as Disney World, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. They were very happily married and it was easy for anyone to see how much they loved and cared for each other.

Lee is survived by her husband, Karl; children, Frank (Cathy) Jacobs and Bill Jacobs; stepchildren, Karl (Leslie) Pfeffer, Mary (deceased) (Terry) Lee, Jayna (Bruce) Dunning, Eric Pfeffer(deceased), Mark Pfeffer, Heidi (Jim) Blevins, and Gretchen Pfeffer; grandchildren, Frank (Jenn) Jacobs, James (Bianca) Jacobs, Krista (Rob) Lodge, Kelly Jacobs, Lindsay (Jess) Pomeroy, Billy Jacobs, Kari Pfeffer, Kristopher Pfeffer, Michael Lee, Thomas Dunning, Nick Blevins, Megan Blevins, Karli Blevins, and Jack Blevins; great grandchildren, Ryan, Julia, Madison, Tyler, Olivia, James, Steven, Avery, Titus, Jenna, and Travis; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Jacobs; and a grandson-in-law, Andy Hayes.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W Moore Chapel, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads AG Church, 19 Main Street, Englishtown, NJ 07726.

My cousin Lee was the matriarch of a beautiful family. She also shared many hours of company with my Mom, her godmother Aunt Sally, and was known for sending thoughtful cards. She will be missed by her family and friends. RIP ❤️

Mimi was such a wonderful person. I didn’t know her for long but as soon as I met her, I loved her! She was warm and caring and funny and made me feel like I knew her forever! I will miss seeing her at Crossroads AG when she’d visit. She was love by many and will be missed always. BUT I know where she’s at….she’s with Jesus now and I know I will see her again! She loved the Lord and it showed! Miss you, Mimi!!! Praying God comfort the family, especially Karl, as only He can comfort us all.

Mimi will be missed by all. She touched a lot of lives, she was a great role model for many people. She always had a positive additude. She was just a wonderful person. Mimi was a great Christian lady. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Much love and prayer for her family.

    Dear Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. May God’s promise bring you comfort. There will be “a new earth… and He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore… I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:1-5

Mimi was a part of Crossroads AG from the very beginning. She was often in the kitchen planning or working on snacks for after church Sunday evening or dinners. I am glad that she is now with Jesus and out of pain. No doubt she is helping in the preparations for the marriage supper of the Lamb.
